One day when me and my friends were waiting for one more person to come so that we could play something, we had gone into the club house in my apartment complex ,where we had gone to the third floor to drink some water when a bunch of kids who were playing hide and seek in the club went into the squash court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I finished drinking some water by when my friend\u2019s naughty younger brother had locked them inside,we did not actually know about this until we started hearing screams from the squash court. The squash court\u2019s lock was such that it will be locked from the outside, into a specially designed holder, but it was locked outside the holder which resulted in the door pulling on the lock making it effectively impossible to pull open the latch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My friends without realizing this were pulling fruitlessly on the lock and the kids inside were freaking out. Then that younger brother went and switched off the light which immersed the room in darkness. One of these kids had started a rumor about a ghost which lived in my apartment and traveled through shadows and darkness. hence the children inside started screaming for their life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we switched the light back on, they all looked very shaken, by then I had realized how that lock works and told them to push the door so that I could put the latch in the proper position, and they pushed it, but the moment the latch fell in the correct spot, they stopped pushing. So instead of the door\u2019s hydraulics pulling on the lock, it was pulling the door on to my finger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I finally managed to tell them to push it again, by that time my friend had caught some lady trying to play shuttle and told her about the situation as though he had witnessed a murder, this upset the lady very much and she also came to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After I released the latch, the next thing to do was to open the door, my friends told that it was a pull door,and convinced the lady of the same. they prevented me from pushing it as though it will cause the room to collapse. Then one of my friends had called the security guard which made all my friends and the lady to go to him and brief him about the situation, in which time is pushed the door and it opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sheer joy in the people trapped was palpable. One of them almost hugged me.
