My schools principal had thought of clubbing all the boys of 9 into one single class room, but it backfired completely, there used to be three different sections with half boys, half girls, but now two classrooms are filled to 150 percent of their capacity, and one class is empty. Not only that but they had also let the children sit where ever the want so all the friends sat together .
This is a problem because usually the students will be forced to be quiet otherwise the teach could single them out and scold them. Now on the other hand everyone will start talking quietly but because their individual incentives will be hidden by the background noise they start talking little louder which in turn increases the background noise enabling them to speak a bit louder completing the vicious cycle.
By the second day, the students were talking during the short breaks, the lunch breaks, and during class hours. So the principal had come to our class and told us to behave civilised, but by the next day everything had returned to normal.
Today, one of my classmates sat in someone else’s place to talk with someone, but the student who usually sat there got possessive and started shouting at him and got very upset. Apparently they made up but during value education class which taken by my principal, someone complained about their fight, and the principal got so enraged that he changed everyone’s place in height order. He was so angry that he told the teachers to not behave like friends and to punish us if we were indiscipline.
